Wind turbine main shafts




There are also technical possibilities of making many other components of wind power plants.

Size range:

We supply main shafts for wind power plants of electric power:
0,6 MW; 1,3 MW; 1,5 MW; 1,8 MW; 2,0 MW; 2,3 MW; 2,5 MW; 3,0 MW; 3,6 MW or other depending on Customer's needs.

The shafts are forged by a patented special forging method , quenched and tempered, and delivered as rough machined or as final machined and painted/ metallized.

Steel grades:

  • Alloy steel
  • Special purpose steel

Steel melting:

  • Electric arc Furnace + Ladle furnace
  • Vacuum degassing (H2 content below 1 ppm, 02 max. 25 ppm, N2 max. 6 ppm in liquid steel.
  • Steel ingots bottom pouring casting; Implementation of vacuum pouring of the biggest ingots (over 65 tons)

Heat Treatment:

  • Normalizing
  • Hardening oil, water, water-oil
  • Tempering
  • Relief annealing

We have the possibility to perform differential HT operations in vertical and horizontal furnaces.

The furnaces are very modern and computer controlled, which provides temperature homogeneity. Out latest investment is a set of 3 state-of-the-art furnaces destined for heat treatment process of wind shaft as well as brand new quenching tank (water and oil)

Ultrasonic testing:

According to:

  • EN 10228-3
  • Customer's specification

Certificates:

The certificates are issued according to the following standards:
PN-EN 10204, 2.2 and 3.1 and 3.2.

The water turbine shafts are delivered in heat treated, rough machined and final machined condition.

  • Quality carbon steel
  • Alloy steel
  • Special purpose steel
